Send Urgent COVID-19 relief to Kerala, India
India has borne the brunt of the latest wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the country, health care institutions are strained far past their limits. Fortunately, vaccine distribution is underway but, in the meantime, the needs of the poor continue to stretch beyond comprehension.
In summer 2021, more than half of the country’s infections were in Kerala, home to a large Christian population. Many religious orders have undertaken heroic work to combat this unprecedented situation. More than 500 clerics and religious in India have died of COVID-19, but thousands more continue their painstaking efforts.
We’ve partnered with dozens of eparchies and orders of men and women religious to rush aid to where it’s needed most. To date, we have distributed food and hygiene kits to more than 21,000 families, as well as P.P.E, oxygen cylinders and pulse oximeters to medical clinics. We hope, with your help, we will help many more people in need.
The situation is urgent and your support will do an immediate world of good, helping to battle a pandemic that is taking a grave toll on India’s poor.
